June 8, 2006

I stopped in at Napoleon Football Conditioning. Dropped off the keys, turned in my rain gear, and said my last goodbyes. The past four years have been so much fun. I’ll miss Napoleon Football; it has taught me a lot and made me who I am.

The trip to Bloomington was long. 24 to Fort Wayne, 69 to Indianapolis, and then 74 to Bloomington. It took me just over five hours. Traffic was pretty calm, so I was cruising. At one point I started counting the cars I passed, then I got to such a number I figured I should stop. On 69 South I saw the roadside cross from the tragic accident that killed a handful of college students about a month ago. The thing that makes it stick out was that they misidentified one of the girls who died with one who was in a coma. What agony, and what a miracle…depending on which family you were with.

Fueled up in Bloomington, cost a ridiculous amount. Took about ¾ of a tank to get here. The US needs to bring back freighters of oil form Iraq for compensation to the service our Armed Forces are providing. Of course, some people don’t see it that way, but I believe we are making a difference. Will that difference be kept when we do leave? My guess is no, but I am hopeful.

I got all my crap moved into my apartment. I live by the airport. I really think I will like Bloomington Normal. It seems to be a friendly town. I am without some essentials, but my parents are coming on Sunday with the last of my stuff.

Went to Shirk Center and helped get some Camps stuff together.
