EB's Ramblings

Feista Time!

My two all time favortie football teams in the college ranks are Ohio State and Notre Dame. When I was a kid I had a huge block "O" on the walls of my bedroom. I had a lot of Scarlett and Grey Stuff. As an adult I love the campus, and enjoy trips to Columbus. I got to see a game from the sidelines this past year. It was amazing.

I also watched a lot of Notre Dame games while I was young. I really liked Lou Holtz. They were always on tv. Then in High School and in college I went to Notre Dame a lot cause a friend of mine went there. I got to meet a lot of players and watch games from the student section. You know its football season when you get off the exit on the Turnpike, you just start to tingle.

Well so there was no doubt that I would be going to my first ever bowl game to see my favorite two teams do battle. It will be a vacation I will not likely forget. It will be a matchup I may not likely see again. It will be my favorite football teams playing eachother. It will be fantastic!

I'm excited.

Lets see.

I'm heading to Massillon and Canton tomorrow. Should be a great time, it always is. The game I'm looking forward to the most is Stubenville v. Desales. I wish that Napoleon would be as much a football town as the ville. Its pretty good, but Stubenville as a community eats, sleeps, and breathes football. It is awesome.
Of Course I'll be rooting for PH, Central Catholic, and Delphos. They are all Northwest Ohio teams. Rooting for a Catholic school is usually not my thing, but they are from Toledo so...

I've been selling things online. I have a couple of headaches. First PayPal is a scam. If you do over 500 dollars in buisness, which I've only done once ...this month you need to have a premier account. To accept credit cards you need to have a premier account. No big deal, except once you get a premier account, PayPal charges you 2.9% plus $0.30 for every transaction. Now, one would think or expect to pay that for Credit Card transactions, but its for all transactions. Which really sucks. So I set up all of my autions saying you need to pay from a bank acount or from a balance, yet people dont read that, or what have you and its a big mess. The kicker is I had to upgrade to Premeire, after I denied someones payment for using a credit card, because my auctions were over $500 bones. So now the guy who paid me early, which I denied is having problems with his credit card. So I must wait. It also appears that I have a dead beat bidder. Seriously do people go on eBay looking to screw people?

I mean I dont bid on things to drive the prices up, I try to get it cheap....or bid on what I intend to pay. If i get beat i get beat.

So I sold my PS2, XBOX, and and old SEGA. I've also been selling Ohio State Authentic Jerseys. I ended up buying 4 of them trying to find the correct size jersey. I wanted a Hawk, but the one I bought is to big. I'm going to keep one of the Ginn jerseys, but I have 2 Ginns and a Hawk to sell. Finding a Hawk in the correct size is probably not going to happen.

Speaking of football. I hope the Buckeyes play Notre Dame. I couldnt ask for a bettter game. My number one v. number two. I mean, I like both of them a lot. Go Bucks though if I get the match up.

Thanksgiving was good. Everyone was over.

Played Holdem at Glicks, got 2nd. To aggressive.

Ratliff got married, he has a Hot step-sister...Trina.

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving....typicly a great bar night stunk. Well it started off good. I went to Rats to play cards. It was Bachmans last horah. He will be taking ajob in the Cinci area. After cards I migrated to Ricks, should have went to the tap. I mean Ricks sucked. I would have left really early except I was waiting for Javan and Megan. Megan didnt come, but Javan did. Its good to have an attourney on retainer. Most of the crowd was super young, like kids who were in school when I first started teaching....aghhhh maybe I'm old. 27 now.

I'm done rambling I think.

I need a date for the Poker Tournament. March what?

Gosh I have not written in some time.

I updated my webpage. Everything is done except the times for my tourny.

I recently have had an eventful week.

I won the election! I am a township trustee elect! Pretty cool. Not as cool as the new Mayor in Hilsdale, Michigan.

The Saturday before the election I went to Ohio Stadium and got to be on the sidelines for the Illinois game. Wow, that was pretty cool. Believe it or not, that was my first Buckeye Game....Well real game. I've been there for Practice and the Spring Game.

My College Football Stadiums that I've been to to date....No Particular order

Ohio Stadium Ohio State
Notre Dame Notre Dame
Doyt Perry BGSU
The Glass Bowl Toledo

Findlay
Defiance
Adrian
Tiffin

I'm sure I've seen more

Perhaps my next list will be College teams I've seen play. Wow. I kind of like this list idea.

Perhaps I'll post some pics soon, but it is getting late tonight!

One day a year the population of Florida, Ohio nearly doubles. I'll take responsibilty for that. My Poker Tournament was this past weekend. It almost started off as a disaster. I overslept. I didnt get up unitl 9:30 or so. I needed to be in Florida by 11:00. I had a lot to do but I managed to get it done.

I arrived at the fire hall about 11:00 and people began trickling in soon after. Before I knew it, you could barely move. I wish I had gotten a pic of all the cars outside...but I didnt.

My Tournament was a complete success. Almost everyone showed up! It was quite the sight. I recieved lots of complements from everyone. I think overall that it was a hit. I felt that it went a lot better than last year. I think a number of things led to that. Not playing myself number one, then I think the blind structure based on times was a much better idea. I also had played in a number of other tournaments where I borrowed som of my rules.

None of this would be possible without you guys though, so thank you!

It was good to see people again. I was especially glad to see some former players. In fact They all did pretty well. Duece ended up getting second. He was second only to Aaron Gerken, the winner of Eberle's Second Annual Poker Tournament.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped me set up...Ben, Nick, Kirby....Thank you!. Thank my mom for being such a good cook. My Dad for helping me run things and he took care of the parking. I'd also like to thank eveyone who stuck around and helped clean up. That was awesome guys! Thanks again!

My regular Poker Game was well represented at the final table. 2 people placed in the money. 3 played in case you were wondering.

Well I'll do it all again sometime next year. Until then, may your pots be monsters!

EB's Ramblings

It has been a while since I have rambled. Lets what I've missed.

I went to the state football clinic in columbus. Loads of info from all the coaches there. All of our staff made it down there, it was fun. We spent a while with Doo Doo, learning SC Defense. Very cool.

I've completed my EMT class. Waiting on results.

Went to T town a couple of weeks ago. Went to the Dirty Bird and to a place called Muds. Fun Time. We have started the monthly bar extravaganza. All of us will take turns driving and picking new places to go. Should be fun. I think I have May. I think we will go to Cincy or to Cleveland.

My poker Tourney is coming up. Its this weekend.

Thats it for now, try to keep up.
